Deadlines for National Scholarships Applications

The following is the 2008-2009 calendar for major national and international fellowships. If there is a campus deadline for a fellowship, this is the last day to get your application to the Office of National Scholarships, room 204 in the Conroy Honors Center. No late entries will be forwarded to the national competition. We will review applications, and, if you are nominated by NMSU, we will help you refine your application. Unless otherwise noted, applications are du by noon on the day listed.

To apply for a scholarship or scholarships:

  • Review the webpage listed below and the information available on the ONSIE Resources page (particularly "How to Prepare for Prestigious Scholarships").
  • Contact Dr. Miller-Tomlinson to express your interest in applying for a national scholarship (tomlin@nmsu.edu). Please make contact with her office well before the campus or national deadline. In some cases, campus nomination procedures can take up to a month to complete.

Even if there is no campus deadline or application for a fellowship, we strongly advise that you work with our office as you prepare your application. We look forward to working with you.
